| [oomph-dev] Bndtools installations using Oomph |
Hi,
There is a move afoot to create Eclipse + Bndtools + bndtools
additions/extensions -> Eclipse installations using oomph setups.  e.g.
see here [1].
Currently, when a new workspace is created, it's necessary in bndtools
for the user to first create a 'bndtools workspace' on the existing
Eclipse workspace.  This is typically done by the user via
File->New->Bnd OSGi Workspace followed by a wizard letting the user set
the disk location (default to the existing workspace), *and* setup a
workspace template for the bndtools workspace.  Bndtools workspace
templates have a lot of stuff...e.g. project and other templates,
repositories used by the projects, bndtools workspace config, etc.
It would be nice if oomph could create the new Bnd OSGi Workspace for
the user....using either the default workspace template, or a specified
one (e.g. ECF's Remote Services workspace template).
Is there a way to do this in Oomph?...e.g. either invoke a UI command
(e.g. File->New->New Bnd OSGi Workspace) on start...or even invoke some
API call to e.g. specify the default location and the use of the ECF
bndtools.workspace template.  I looked through the available set of
oomph 'actions' (not sure what you are calling them), but didn't see any
that rang a bell.
Thanksinadvance for any info,
Scott
