We have been updating the contributors guide incrementally. Unfortunately, the section that describes how to submit patches is still specific to CVS and needs some work.
Patrick, if you have committed your changes locally you can create a patch from the History view in EGit. That patch should be attached to the corresponding Bugzilla bug.
I have added updating of the documentation to the list of tasks...

I have completed the changes and added some junit tests for it. Everything is working. I also pulled the latest changes.
I am trying to push back to the stream the changes to the master branch but I get an error.
I am using Eclipse with eGIT.
Any clue?
If you are not a committer you probably don't have push permissions on the git repository.
The contributor guide indicates you should upload patches to the corresponding bugzilla
Did anyone test the contributor guide since mylyn moved to git ? The descriptions on how to
use the versioning system don't look git'ish ...
