Re: [mpc-dev] Fwd: mpc-1.6.4.zip

Hi Lidia,

You will generally find all release update sites online at http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/releases/<release>/. So for release 1.6.4 it would be http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/releases/1.6.4/. The zip archive of the repository is also available for download at http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/releases/1.6.4/mpc-1.6.4.zip.

Newer major/minor versions of MPC might depend on newer versions of Platform bundles, so I wouldn't expect them to be installable in older Eclipses. Also, they bring with them newer versions of the Apache HttpClient library, and having multiple versions of that in an Eclipse installation has been known to wreak havoc with network functionality in the past.

Best regards,
Carsten
