Hi Eclipse support providers, experts, consumers, and friends,
The Eclipse Long term Support (LTS) Working Group is growing and offering you many new business and technical opportunities. Building on the Eclipse Foundations reputation as the place to foster commercial adoption of open source, it provides you the opportunity to build a successful business model around the support of this diverse community's offerings by addressing the long term support needs of Eclipse adopters.
For example, if you are suffering from Eclipse bugs in older releases or if you are one of the experts able to fix these bugs – then LTS is what you are looking for! As a support provider, this is your chance to get in on the ground floor and establish yourself as a premier maintenance provider. You can leverage the Eclipse infrastructure (Maven, Tycho, Git/Gerrit and the build server) to ensure a smooth support process and delivery of signed jars to your customers. Even projects that have not been moved to this infrastructure can leverage LTS with respect to build and delivery.
On the other hand, if you are a potential consumer of Long Term Support, this is your chance to see our progress and provide input into the development of our offerings.
