Hello,
Following some notes after the weekly meeting.
- Review Supported Platforms
- The proposal is to support one target (reference) device per architecture. The idea is to provide support to:
- We will keep the recently contributed Centos support for Intel Up square board.
- We will provide a Docker support that likely will use the Intel Up square board NN distribution
- Drop Deprecated APIs
- Approaching the release of a major version of Kura takes to the opportunity to review and remove the deprecated APIs.
- During the discussion, there was the proposal to drop the APIs for Bluetooth 2.1 and the old APIs for Bluetooth LE
- Drop deprecated HSQL db
- This database is deprecated since Kura 3.1.0. We are ready to remove it
- Review Karaf support
- Karaf seems to still be appealing
- Currently the Karaf distribution is broken and will not give a good user experience for interested people that decide to try it.
- The proposal would be to try to find a maintainer of the distribution.
- If no one could be found, Karaf will be removed from the repository, willing for a better future support.
The discussion is ongoing, so any feedback and opinion is more than welcome.
