Sheesh thanks for the rant.
I don't remember a vote, in fact my vote email was the second message on the dev list. If you are referring to thumbs up on the issue I linked to I commented that I would put it to a vote. If I have missed a vote somewhere else then I apologise.
tbh I really can't be bothered with this. Please make the PRs to do the updates when you have all decided the name.

acronym. The JCA acronym did not appear anywhere in the vote, and is not relevant to the results. There is nothing about having that name that forces our spec to make use of JCA as an acronym. I wouldn't expect a specification to want to make use of an acronym
either. On the contrary, I voted for that name because it makes it clear and obvious that the new spec is the evolution of the Java EE Connector Architecture, due to the similarity in their names, and because it's a good name that represents exactly what
the spec is for.

We also cannot use the JCA acronym therefore the proposed name is; "Jakarta Connectors" As project lead I am putting this name to a committer vote. If you could vote +1 if agree, 0 if abstain and -1 if you disagree. If you -1 the name please suggest an alternative. Thanks Steve
