I think this group could be the right one. The main question is why
exactly is jakarta version of this API required? AFAICT it has no
dependency on the code which was moved to jakarta package namespace and
no jakarta spec depends on it nor uses it.
...and the other question would be who is going to cover it in case it
gets here?
