Hi Ken,
Welcome to the alias! To add to what Markus and Christian have said, teaching an API sometimes gives you a different perspective on how to improve ease of use. As you noticed in your Jakarta EE writeup, Java EE has gotten better over the last few years but there’s room for improvement.
Suggestions on how to make JAX-RS easier to use are always welcome.

Hi, My name is Ken Fogel and I teach in a Computer Science Technology program at Dawson College and in an adult training program at Concordia University. Both programs I teach in use Java as the primary language. Starting next week I will be teaching a web services course at Concordia so the invitation to join this mailing list is auspicious. I have also spoken at JavaOne and for the last two years have organized a NetBeans Day here in Montreal. You can see this past January’s lineup at https://www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca/netbeansday/. Please let me know how I may contribute to the continuing success of jax-rs.
