Re: [jakartaee-platform-dev] Prefixing spec project names on Eclipse infra with "jakarta-"

Hi Arjan,
Are you proposing to rename the specification projects to have the prefix of jakarta, e.g. https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/jakarta.data? By the way, I think we should remove the mentioning of ee4j from the specifications.

For CI jobs, I also filed an issue a while ago to clearly identify which ones are for jakarta. What you suggested also works by adding the jakarta prefix.
The mailing list with jakarta prefix makes sense as well.

Thanks
Emily

Hi,

The Jakarta specification projects now have general names like "data", "validation", "authentication" etc. Which is fine within e.g. the GitHub jakartaee org, but is a little problematic generally speaking for Eclipse projects.

E.g. https://ci.eclipse.org/data/ and the associated list data-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx.

It has been mentioned before that on the CI server (https://ci.eclipse.org) it's not clear which are the jakarta projects.

What we could do is rename once more, and this time to jakarta-security, jakarta-data, etc. Names on Github would remain the same, e.g. github.com/jakartaee/security

Thoughts?

Kind regards,
Arjan Tijms
