[jakarta.ee-spec.committee] Termination Review Request: Jakarta RPC

Hello,

I am a member of the Jakarta EE Specification Committee, and would like to request a termination review for Jakarta RPC.

This specification has never delivered a 1.0 release, is three years overdue a Progress Review to keep the specification alive as per the JESP (https://www.eclipse.org/projects/efsp/#efsp-version-lifecycle), and has little sign of activity.

• An email was sent to the project mailing list, which got very few replies or support for keeping the specification: https://www.eclipse.org/lists/jakartarpc-dev/msg00021.html
• An email was sent to the specification committee mailing list, which got no replies or support for keeping it: https://www.eclipse.org/lists/jakarta.ee-spec.committee/msg03715.html
• The specification committee had previously agreed to holding these requests as a lazy consensus to terminate them: https://jakarta.ee/about/meeting_minutes/specification_committee/minutes-specification-april-1-2026.pdf
