If I got to that position, I would fill it in with "no vote" rather than leave it blank.

Hi,

We have voting tally counts: +1 (for), -1 (against), 0 (abstain), but
how do we designate not voting? n.v.? Blank seems subject to
interpretation. I think I'd prefer some entry be made lest folks come
back sometime later when we cannot remember and ask why we didn't enter
anything for some member vote or other.
