Re: [jakarta.ee-spec.committee] Operations document conversion
The problem is, when "anyone can do it", that usually means that no one actually does it and it never gets done.

Looking at the members of the Specification Committee, it seems that there's a few who haven't done as much direct work as others.  Rather than me calling out the names here, maybe one of you can step up and volunteer to help with this web site work?  Maybe one of the alternates can jump in and help?

Failing that, we'll need to go hat in hand to the community and see if we can find someone to help.  Really, we need someone who's staffed to work on these web site issues.  Most of us are not web designers.

Correct, I didn't create any navigation to this page intentionally as I don't know how we want it. I only took on me to convert the document and get it out there. Anyone can send a PR to make changes or add information. If we want a description of each committee, then let's do that. The directory structure is set up to allow for that. 

The entire site needs an overhaul when it comes to navigation. 


Are you also going to convert the process.adoc (which really ought to be named TCKprocess, just like the png file)?

My thought was to do the operations doc. Then describe the steps so anyone can convert the rest. I can make a pass at it next time I have some time over if no one else has picked it up.


It's less clear what to do about names.adoc.  Do people think it should be converted and published on jakarta.ee?

Ditto steps_javaee_to_jakartaee.adoc?

These are kind of one-off for this release?

Hi,

As requested at our meeting last week, I have converted the operations document from AsciiDoc to Hugo Markdown and created a pull request to get it published under https://jakarta.ee/committees/specification/operations. 


I have also created a PR to remove the original from the specification-committee repository to avoid duplication and confusion. This PR can be found here: https://github.com/jakartaee/specification-committee/pull/26

If we want more content added to the jakarta.ee website, it can be added by creating a PR the same way as for this document.
