Re: [jakarta.ee-spec.committee] BALLOT: Approval to create the Jakarta Bean Validation Project

Need an update to the proposal...

The IPZilla issue has Gunnar's approval for adding Nathan Mittlestat as an Initial Committer:  https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=548104
But, the actual proposal doesn't have Nathan listed as an Initial Committer:  https://projects.eclipse.org/proposals/jakarta-bean-validation

My vote is still a +1, but I need the Initial Committer list properly updated and processed.  Thanks!

+1 from IBM (on behalf of Dan)

But, I would like to ask for some Oxford commas in the Scope statement to make it easier to read and understand...

Jakarta Bean Validation describes a means for declaring constraints on Java object models, APIs to validate constraints, and query for constraint meta-data, as well as integration with other Jakarta EE specifications such as CDI or JAX-RS.

Greetings Jakarta EE Specification Committee

Please review the
Jakarta Bean Validation project proposal.

Per the Eclipse Foundation Specification Process, I require a super-majority vote of the members of the Jakarta EE Specification Committee to successfully complete a Creation Review and then start the process of standing up the project.

The specification scope is specified as:

Jakarta Bean Validation describes a means for declaring constraints on Java object models, APIs to validate constraints and query for constraint meta-data as well as integration with other Jakarta EE specifications such as CDI or JAX-RS.

I hereby request that the Specification Committee vote to approve the creation of this first Specification Project.

Please respond to this note with:
+1 to approve;
-1 to reject; or
0 to abstain.

If you do choose to reject or abstain, I would appreciate a short (one or two sentence) explanation.

I will assemble the results and publish them on the record that we're using to track this process.

I would like to resolve this on July 3/2019. Your vote in advance of that date will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Wayne
