Subject to agreeing on a suitable contribution agreement for the
text of the Java EE Specifications, we anticipate that the
contribution of the specification document contents (text and
images/diagrams) must be made in a way that doesn't require
      proprietary software for use.
Currently, most (though not all) of the specification documents
were written using Adobe FrameMaker. As we had discussed in an
earlier meeting, we are working on migrating those documents into
a text based format that can be edited using a variety of editing
      tools.
Eclipse should expect a collection of documents (non-code
contributions). I don't think the actual contribution details are
completely worked out yet but that's what the line-item is for.

The first dependency on this task is the agreement between
Eclipse and Oracle for the initial contribution.

      HI All,
in preparation for the next week's call and to better plan the
work on the specification tab of the Jakarta
EE 8 release and Jakarta EE 9 planning sign up document ,
can you explain what exactly can we expect for line item 23?

      By looking at
JCP
Java EE / JSRs by Platform I am wandering what exactly is
is going to be contributed? I know we are still ways off with
the copyright agreements, but if you can pick a specification /
JSR as an example and walk through with specifics, that would be
        great.

      Many thanks,
      Tanja
