Please find attached the current draft of the Eclipse Foundation Specification License.

This draft has not been reviewed or approved by either the IP Advisory Committee or the Board.

Some notes of interest:

This license is based on the W3C specification document license, which is both simple and widely known. This license provides broad copyright grants allowing the use of the specification documents to implement software.
You will notice that there is nothing about patents in this license. That is because the patent licenses will be dealt with via amendments to the Eclipse Foundation Intellectual Property Policy.
You will notice that there is nothing about compatibility in this license. That is because compatibility will be dealt with in the TCK license, and in the trademark license.
You will notice that there is nothing about trademarks in this license. That is because trademarks will be dealt with in the trademark license.
