I understand that there are no fees associated to being part of the Interest Group so I’d like both me as an individual and the LJC to join the Interest Group, please.

I can help with your query.  Any existing Eclipse Foundation member with an executed Eclipse Member Committer and Contributor Agreement may participate in any Interest Group of interest.  Members may participate by declaring participation via this mailing list.  You can see the formal process here.

Please let me know here if LJC confirms its intention to join the Interest Group as it is qualified to do so.  Upon confirmation, I can make the necessary updates to the page.

Here is a summary of the key points and discussions from the Jakarta EE Future Directions Interest Group Meeting (transcript attached):
 
1. The interest group aims to broaden participation and welcomes members from organizations and individuals who are interested in shaping the future of Jakarta EE.
2. Michael Redlich suggested involving language-focused experts and organizations to bring diverse perspectives to the group.
3. Tanja clarified that Eclipse Foundation Account (not necessarily a member organization) is needed for individuals to participate in the interest group.
4. A proposal to send a note out to all Jakarta EE-related mailing lists, inviting them to participate in discussing the process, received positive feedback.
5. Abraham proposed creating a GitHub repository to track and organize ideas, which Neil agreed to create and populate with initial ideas and suggestions.
6. Abraham asked about assessing the value of potential initiatives through surveys or polls; Tanja suggested giving strong recommendations to the Jakarta Working Group based on community interests.
