[iot-pmc] Discussion/Vote for Eclipse Kura on Apache Karaf works-with

Hi,

Eclipse Kura would like to use Apache Karaf 4.0.7 as a works-with dependency [1]

At some point in the future we would like to provide a fully downloadable image for Apache Karaf. But this will take some time due to the number of dependencies which we need to process for this.

Therefore we would like to provide some build-your-own way by providing build scripts for Karaf and not offer anything as a download for the moment.

Kura itself will continue to ship distributions based on is custom assembled Equinox setup. So Karaf is not a replacement and thus the request for works-with.

As I am involved in the project I will not vote.
