Re: [iot-pmc] [CQ 10981] classic-icons
I am hoping the other PMC members can help decide whether this is just me nitpicking :-)
The discussion is in a nutshell the following: the CQ is for a bunch of SVG and PNG icons + a script to help generate the PNG icons from the SVG sources, and this script relies on several 3rd party utilities (xmlint, rsvp-convert, …). 
While there is of course a possibility for developers updating the SVG icons sources later on to manually sync the PNG files, there is an implicit dependency to the script (that the pull request / CQ will add to the repo) that they will naturally tend and want to use since it's part of the repo.

The two options here are:
  • I'm just nitpicking indeed and Jens or Julien will simply provide a +1
  • We ask for the PR to not include the SVG->PNG conversion scripts

I am waiting since Feb 28 on an update this CQ from the PMC and as expressed to Benjamin in PM, this is rather urgent for the project.
So please let me know, how you wish to proceed.
