Re: [ide-dev] Language Server Protocol

At this stage, there is only the repository that has the JSON protocol, Sven's Java bindings to the protocol, and a couple of language servers that have been open sourced - including a few that run in Node.JS that are listed on Microsoft's repository.

The rest of the stuff is not open yet and it's not my authority to make it open source, but I believe it will be once there are suitable accompanying documentation and some prototype technology to go along with it.

We are working on some standards for how:
1. Various languages will advertise their server availability in a registry.
2. How a language server can be auto-deployed into a different kind of workspace.
3. File type <> language server association.

That is great. Can you provide pointers to the mailing lists/bug reports/pull requests where this is being discussed/proposed?

Thanks!
