Re: [glassfish-dev] HK2 - how does it get released to central?

Hi,

I'll remove all the hk2:3.0.3 entries from this list:

[INFO] orgglassfish-1140    OPEN     fighterfish:1.0.13
[INFO] orgglassfish-1141    OPEN     org.glassfish.build:command-security-maven-plugin:1.0.13
[INFO] orgglassfish-1189    OPEN     hk2:3.0.3
[INFO] orgglassfish-1190    OPEN     hk2:3.0.3
[INFO] orgglassfish-1191    OPEN     hk2:3.0.3
[INFO] orgglassfish-1192    OPEN     hk2:3.0.3
[INFO] orgglassfish-1193    OPEN     hk2:3.0.3
[INFO] orgglassfish-1194    OPEN     hk2:3.0.3
[INFO] orgglassfish-1195    OPEN     hk2:3.0.3
[INFO] orgglassfish-1196    OPEN     hk2:3.0.3
[INFO] orgglassfish-1197    OPEN     hk2:3.0.3
[INFO] orgglassfish-1198    OPEN     hk2:3.0.3

Also note, the 1140 and 1141 entries staged by the *all* job seem to generate some non-optimal descriptions. Something to look at as well.

Kind regards,
Arjan

Hi,

Something clearly went wrong there. Especially all the hk2:3.0.3 entries. Specifically for a non-milestone to be published we should make sure that its also build without the staging repo.

I recently added a switch to that for GlassFish.

I'll start with removing the stale hk2:3.0.3 entries. Next question, is 3.0.3 itself fine, or do we need to stage, test and release to central a 3.0.4?

Kind regards,
Arjan

I can't find the job that did the release to central. This is done by copying over to the releases repo in staging which is then propagated over to central.

The artifact was copied over to the releases repository in staging by the glassfish bot - see below

I missed that.

There is no longer any history of execution at that time, but the release should be done with all-projects_3_staging-to-release.
The reason the staging task is still there is probably because the staging build was run multiple times for hk2:3.0.3.

hk2: 3.0.3 was staged by Arjan, so he might know what's going on.

Kind Regards,
Hiroki

Interesting.

But hk2:3.0.3 has already (yesterday at 1640Z) been pushed to central:
  https://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2/org/glassfish/hk2/hk2-core/3.0.3/
and hence my question is - how did it happened?
