Re: [geomesa-users] Cloudera CDP compatibility

Hi Joris,

Actually the final destination of the project I'm working on would be CDP public cloud, hence 7.2.  I was testing on 7.1 on an on-prem trial version, since I didn't want to add security to the mix and first start with less variables to control. But if you have it working on CDP 7.2.2 is very good news. I'm no java expert so following the instructions has not been so simple. Any tips you could share would be greatly appreciated!!
Also there might be a consulting services opportunity if the poc goes well, if you're interested...

Regards,
Ray

Hi,
in case it helps. I run geomesa on CDP 7.2.2 (hbase 2.2.5) which is quite close to what you have and I got things to work . Left and right probably solved some problems (with help of experts, sometimes because of my own misinterpretation) but eventually it worked quite fine.
I had not so good experience on CDH 6.1 (hbase 2.1.x).
I kept track of all actions so feel free to share specific faillures.

Good luck.

Before attempting any further I was wondering if any of you here has tried this setup, or if a priori you can tell it wont work.
