Unfortunately my fix for https://geomesa.atlassian.net/browse/GEOMESA-3162 wasn’t quite right in the handling of Zookeeper. In particular AccumuloDataStore's zookeepers property returns connector.getInstance.getZooKeepers() . Unfortunately the underlying ZooKeeperInstance class only uses the Accumulo 1.x version of the zookeeper property. When running with an Accumulo 2 configuration this causes it to fallback to the default Accumulo value of localhost:2181.

Not all operations rely upon this codepath or others like it. Testing with the command line client worked properly for tasks like ingesting data. More complex usages like Geoserver integration or big data jobs cause the problem to occur.
