[equinox-dev] Announcement: Aspects Equinox Incubator - Phase I

The Aspects Equinox Incubator project is pleased to announce the availability of Phase I. This code comprises an OSGi Framework extension, tests and demos that allow you to create flexible aspect-oriented applications using Eclipse and AJDT. These can be deployed as OSGi bundles, Eclipse plug-ins (that use the extension point infrastructure) or an RCP application using a seamless AspectJ load-time weaving environment. Phase I supports the "opt-in" model of aspect weaving (http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/equinox-dev/msg00444.html)  and will be followed shortly by Phase II that will introduce the "co-opt" model then Phase III with byte-code caching. The next stage of the project will integrate the AJEER programming model into this aspect-oriented runtime.

Please see the description of how to get started on the Aspects home page (http://www.eclipse.org/equinox/incubator/aspects/index.php).
