Does that happen with other packages as well?
I tried the JEE package on OS X, but I don't think that package includes
m2eclipse.
I do remember from my experience with m2e about 2 years ago that
excessive console output was a major annoyance with it.
I also wonder if it's been discussed that including m2eclipse in the
Java package means that users will need to be using a JDK instead of a
JRE (last I saw, m2e doesn't work correctly without a JDK and reminds
the user of that every time at startup). Forgive me if this was already
discussed and I missed it; I'm just concerned about the community side
of things if all of a sudden the Java package changes it's
pre-requisites and the intrusive UI that m2eclipse used to alert about it.
