RE: Re: [epf-dev] RE: EPF Composer Command Line Interface
 |
Finally, I used a workaround from which I'm not particulary
proud of... a _vbscript_ which performs the publishing from the interface
(SendKeys) and a couple of odd file based sync.

BTW, I'm using EPF in a windows environment for publishing
so I'm not sure the patch would work (because of your "X display" comment).
Thanks anyway and I look forward to have this feature to be added to the EPF
Composer soon.

Now that is see, there is a new attachment to the bug,
stating that only the plugin is needed... did anybody tried this new plugin? how
it should be used? I'm not pretty familiar with eclipse's command line execution
mode, only heard someting about "java -jar
plugins/org.eclipse.equinox.launcher_1.0.0.v20070606.jar -application
org.eclipse.epf.publishing.cmdline.Publish". Tried but I didn't get even the
"usage" error message.

Regards,
Diego.
Hello,
I have built such an integration for
us. Please find enclosed the patch against the source of EPF 1.0.2. It works
here with a continous integration into since around 2 months. I dont know how
and if it patches cleanly against the EPF 1.2 sources.
Please make sure that your machine
has an X installed and that the EPF can access an X display. Even when running
from the command line, the generation of the images needs an X display. We use
an Xvnc for that as we are running it on a headless Sun.
I would be very interested in your
feedback,
