RE: [epf-dev] tool integration, artifact tracking, etc.?
|
Hello Gregory,
Wilos can answer your needs. This free software (GPL license) is compliant
with the epf composer output and furthermore with the spem 2.0
specification. It allows Wilos users to manage a project driven by a process
(activities, phases, roles, tasks, etc.).
You can find more information about this tool and its community at this
link: http://www.wilos-project.org
NB: A presentation to the epf community is available at this link:
http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/epf-dev/msg01821.html
Thanks for your feedbacks.
Mathieu.

Subject: [epf-dev] tool integration, artifact tracking, etc.?

Please excuse the naïve questions, but I'm new to EPF.
Is there a framework for integrating tools (Eclipse-based or otherwise)
with processes produced using EPF? Or for tracking artifacts produced
while following an EPF-generated process? Or for tracking progress /
adherence to a process?
It seems like it should be possible to, in conjunction with an
EPF-generated process, answer questions such as, "What are the detailed
requirements for this system?", "What tasks should be being worked on now,
and which are overdue?", "When was this use case developed?", "What tests
validate this requirement?", etc.
The process should serve as a workflow and an organizer of activities and
artifacts as they are performed and produced, respectively, over the course
of a project. That is, the process should serve as an "active" tool rather
than a static document.
With all the technical wizardry apparent in the EPF tool, I'm sure you
people are way ahead of me on this, and I would appreciate any information
and pointers you can give me.
Thanks much.
