[elk-dev] Release 0.8.0

Hi everyone,

after a seemingly long time the next ELK release is nearly finished.

Since this is my first release, it may need a still need a few days to 
be able to publish everything to Maven Central, however, you can already 
have a look at the release notes [2] and the update site [1].

If you find some last minute bugs, this may be the last chance for me to 
fix them.
