[elk-dev] KIELER Migration

Hi everyone,

we have just put out a new release of the KIELER Pragmatics project,
which ELK grew out of. Ulf and I are now about to start to migrate all
the changes over to ELK that have happened since we forked ELK. We will
do so on a few branches and merge them into master over the next few days.

None of the changes should have too much of an impact on ELK in general.
In particular, ELK's general architecture won't be changed. We will
pretty much only add new code and migrate bug fixes over.

We won't be doing so in many small commits. Much rather, we will take
the code and try to merge it over in a few larger commits to keep the
work load manageable.
