HI Scott, where will these tests go instead?

Hi David, do you mean the Enterprise Beans tests that we are refactoring?  https://github.com/jakartaee/enterprise-beans could be a good place for the refactored tests to move to but they could also stay in the Platform TCK.

As I don't have cycles to help, I'll let you decide on where the should go (if they stay or move here, if they move here where).

We definitely do need them.   I launched off another thread to hopefully provide some transparency to us and users on what implementations are shipping various optional features.  We've not yet really done that reality check and I think that would be useful to have data we can use to drive decisions.

As noted in [1], the Jakarta EE 10 Platform release removed the (Platform) requirement for Entity Beans,  Container Managed Persistence, Bean Managed Persistence and embeddable EJB Container.

The corresponding BMP/CMP/embeddable Platform TCK tests are still in the Jakarta EE 10 Platform TCK however there is a new pull request [2] to remove those tests for Jakarta EE 11.  The pull request targets the `tckrefactor` branch [3] where we are currently refactoring the many other Enterprise Beans tests (and other Platform TCK tests).

TCK refactoring help is appreciated if you would like to assist, please join us on the Platform TCK mailing list [4] if you can help.
