Re: [ee4j-community] ECF Unconference

Heiko,

Thanks for the reply and interest in helping the Unconference (I assume at ECE in Ludwigsburg more likely?;-)
Take last year's ECE Unconference
as example.

I guess you need a room and enough people interested in a certain topic, it is not as spontanous as the JavaLand "Lobby Day" I think you saw or heard about.
It would be great, if it worked, and should you like to propose something to ECE in Ludwigsburg related to MP Metrics, I'd be happy to join in on that.
Some examples e.g. Emily with another speaker who has no company name (either it's missing or she is an Individual committer) this time show, it does not hurt to have a company name, but maybe it was too soon since Health or Metrics were last presented.
If there is a JNoSQL talk I can participate in or an Unconference day I can more easily take off, I'd be happy to go to Tolouse as well.
Otherwise having the only Jakarta EE/Java EE talk at DWX https://www.developer-week.de/categories/#/category/java my June is all but empty when it comes to conferences;-)

Mike,

As mentioned also in the separate unconference thread, Jakarta EE was very
underrepresented at ECF, maybe because it simply came much too late to "the
party" for this conference or because other buzzwords like "Reactive",
"Responsive", "Microservices" or "Spring Boot" are more appealing than Java
EE to the program committee.

It would be great to see a similar Unconference day and track as many of us
did before JavaLand on Jakarta EE and the new WG. If not in Toulouse then
at least in Ludwigsburg.

Which do you see more realistic?

Werner

I can't make it to ECF, but will for sure submit to ECE again.
What would it take to do/organise such a (1/2) day of unconference
for JakartaEE / MicroProfile?

Thanks
