Re: [ee4j-community] Committers don't have to contribute code

No worries.

If even just those who can commit on behalf of that legal entity did, it would show, some JUGs who can afford registration and those sorts of fees are also contributing code, not just reserving seats in working groups ;-)

The project level stats e.g. at MicroProfile already show individuals or smaller companies do a lot, too, but it would be nice to see it at the TLP level, too.

All,

As an update, we have done further analysis on the nine potential logos we had shortlisted.

Based on this analysis, we would like to suggest that we drop # 6 and # 9 as potential logos from the attached list of nine we had shared late last week (and is attached for convenience).  As people pointed out on the GitHub Issue [link] those logos are too similar to other logos in our industry, and thus run the risk of not being able to get them trademarked.

So that would leave seven logos that we intend to carry forward to a community vote. We are confident any of the remaining six are good potential candidates to become the selected logo.

We will continue to do due diligence with respect to trademarking the seven candidate logos, but we are hopeful they all will remain as viable candidate logos going forward.

A separate note will be sent in the next few days with details on how to vote on these remaining seven logos.

Regards,
Paul
