Re: [ee4j-community] Jakarta EE Logo suggestion submission

Not sure, which one has the purple dots, is there another list than https://wiki.eclipse.org/Jakarta_Logo_Submission ?

The ones with sails, pinpoints or maps feel a bit too much like LocationTech to me.
The ones by 99 design are nice, although the two Js I cannot help but spot "Mr Clippy" from older MS office.

If Apache does not see too much of its image branding with the feather-like J (after already contributing the name) that could be nice.

The 3-dimensional one looks too much like the Nike logo with 2 € symbols. Ok, we learned, some of the involvement at Jakarta EE will require some $ or € to be spent by larger companies, but maybe not quite show that in the logo? ;-)

The bird may seem a little too close to Thunderbird.

Either way, I guess there should be at least 2 or 3 to chose from like the names.

Lots of really good entries. Jason Brock has one with many different purple
dots that is pretty cool. Sort of has a rich texture to it.

(I tried to reply to an existing thread that happened before I subscribed
to this list, hopefully, it won't mess up everything, especially archives)

Hello,

I think that writing some kind of guidelines answering the questions listed
by James would be greatly beneficial. In a first version, it could focus on
the API (Reactive Streams, CompletionStage...). Topics such as execution
model, the relation with CDI can also be covered, maybe in a second step.

James, if you are still thinking about writing these guidelines, you can
count on my help.
