Re: [ee4j-community] Fwd: Jakarta Logo Submissions-extended 1 day

I'm not a graphic designer either, but a Phoenix rising from the ashes seems appropriate for the direction of enhancing JEE with new features at a rapid pace.

I don't see the process for how the Jakarta Logo is going to be chosen on the submissions page. Is that defined somewhere?

Just FYI. Thanks to those who have taken the time to provide a submission, and apologies for not making the design brief explicit on the wiki page.

Hi Designers,

Thank you for submitting your designs to the Jakarta Logo Submissions page.

Unfortunately, all of these logos break at least one of our rules that we had given to the designers on 99Designs. They are as follows:

We do not want this logo to have any connection to the Java coffee cup, Apache or Apache Jakarta, island of Java, Eclipse, or the city of Jakarta, cannot say 'Java' or reference 'JEE' and nothing whimsical.

We have added the design brief to the logo page for you to review and will be extending the deadline until tomorrow afternoon. If you'd like to submit another design, please feel free to upload it anytime between now and tomorrow 2pm ET.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thank you,
Stephanie
