Re: [ee4j-community] EE4J Project Proposals

+1 to Reza's comment on NoSQL not being added to EE4J quite yet...  We need to focus on the current Java EE 8 content first and get that all settled in EE4J.  Then, we can consider adding additional components.  Whether NoSQL is ready to be "standardized" yet is a question for the wider community.  Just not yet...

Personally I don't think anything NoSQL should be added to EE4J quite yet. It is however perfect as a MicroProfile component or EE4J "incubator project". Both the Java EE Guardians and Oracle surveys show that developers do not see NoSQL being standardized as part of Java EE quite yet.

+1 for adding JNoSQL API/Specs to EE4J umbrella.

As just mentioned on the JNoSQL list, the idea of JNoSQL or parts (in the spirit of separating spec/API and implementations that could be JNoSQL plus either Diana, Artemis or both) migrating under the EE4J Umbrella, seems like a very good and consequent idea, too.

Thanks Bill. I know this is a tough question, but do you have any stimated
date for the CTS to be publicly accesible?

Mike - is there a plan to have convenience links from the EE4J project to
these (and any additional EE4J-related projects) for navigation purposes?

All,
I would like to draw your attention to fact that nine new EE4J project
proposals were recently posted on the Eclipse Foundation's proposal page.
This is the first step to making the migration of Java EE to the Eclipse
Foundation a reality.
The list of proposals is below. There are more details on the proposal
page, or on my blog post.
Thanks!
Eclipse Tyrus
Eclipse OpenMQ
Eclipse Grizzly
Eclipse Jersey
Eclipse RESTful Web Services API for Java
Eclipse Message Service API for Java
Eclipse WebSocket API for Java
Eclipse Mojarra
Eclipse JSON Processing

Yes. That is done as a matter of course once the projects are created.

I like the idea of separating the standards from the implementation
projects to allow for multiple implementations of the same standard on
equal terms, even within the Eclipse Foundation.
