General recap:

  • Continuing to wait for jsonp GitHub repository. Requested that this be escalated so that we can move forward with our first through project.
  • JSONP and websocket-api have passed initial IP clearance and could be checked into eclipse source repo. once the git repositories are created. JMS-API initial contribution CQ is submitted for review.
  • Eclipse supports Jenkins only. We should settle on Jenkins for all CI operations.
  • Arindam reports that GF builds are planned to operate from Docker images. They are working on a set of docker images to trial.
  • We requested at least two slaves for the CI test (Action Frederic)
  • Dmitry reports that many other components do not use Docker and will build in the "traditional" fashion.
  • Ed requested that each project represented here, supply specific details of each infrastructure component that they require. We may need to adjust, depending on what Eclipse provides and/or if there are restrictions about what we can bring ourselves (see next item). (Action each project team CI Rep)
  • Frederic to provide details, or a contact for us to work with regarding any specific requests to use licensed software (e.g. Windows C Compiler, if needed).
  • Discussed publishing to Maven. Ed reiterated that all projects, once they are building from Eclipse repositories (e.g. built with Eclipse licensed software), must use Eclipse Maven publishing. There are some pointers that Frederic will provide. He and Dmitry will work on a HowTo describing the requirements. These include package signing. (Oracle may continue to update via maven.java.net, but only for component maintenance. All new versions will be delivered through Eclipse processes). (Action Frederic and Dmitry)

If I missed anything please respond with the additions and/or corrections.

Thanks,

Hi, we will have our weekly discussion.

Topics I have:

  • Updates from Oracle project teams about experimentation done so far.
    • Jignesh, Tomas K and Tomas L, Arindam, Ankur have access. Progress reports?
  • Discussion about next steps for this initial work
  • Update regarding EE4J overall status
  • Tools / programs available (compilers, build utilities, etc)
    • Presume it's mostly BYO, but want to check

If there are other topics, please reply to this e-mail.
