HI Lars,

thanks for contacting those guys, but personally I'd like to discuss invited talks before blindly accepting them. So far we have discussed these cases and agreed on a few people to be invited. Given that the number slots in total is limited, I'd rather have a usual voting even though someone may have been encouraged to submit a proposal.

Just my thought about this.

Today is the final deadline for submitting talks and tutorials for EclipseCon NA 2015. Don’t forget to remind everybody to submit their proposals.

Many of you are already putting votes into the submission system and adding questions to submissions, giving feedback, asking for clarifications or for more details.
This is great! Thanks for being so active on the submission system and for spending so much time on this - and for working with the people who submitted talks on their proposals via the comment feedback channel. This is much appreciated!!! Please continue to do so.

Keep up the great work!!!

Our next call will be this week on Thursday. We will select the tutorials, 8 in total.

And a reminder: We have to pick ALL THE TUTORIALS, so please take a look at ALL TUTORIAL submissions. I can already see a few being submitted for the special day tracks, but as far as I know WE have to select ALL tutorials. The special days committees are responsible for standard talks only.

So please make sure that all tutorial votes are in (by Thursday Nov 20).
