Re: [eclipsecon-na-program-committee] VJET talk
|
For the abstract and talk, I'd recommend focusing on what you can do
with VJet that is difficult or impossible using similar tools. A
direct comparison isn't necessary, but I should walk away from the
talk with an idea of why I'd want to use VJet instead of, say, JSDT,
Webstorm, or Orion. Being able to develop Java in the same IDE is a
clear advantage over Webstorm and Orion. And enhanced type inferencing
and other features would make VJet a winner over JSDT.
However, it's also important to temper expectations. If features are
only partially implemented, haven't been field tested completely, or
are not fully integrated with the rest of the IDE, then that should be
mentioned so that users don't have any unpleasant surprises when they
install.
