[eclipsecon-na-program-committee] 87 Talks Selected

We are almost there! We have 87 talks selected, and I've marked 11 as on-the-fence (98 talks). I'm happy with this program, but I think we should go through one last round tomorrow.

Meeting time: 8:30am PT / 11:30am ET / 5:30pm CET, Tuesday Nov 26th.

I've flagged 12 talks as "near-the-fence". These are talks that are on the non-accept side of the fence, but I would also be happy selecting, and in some cases maybe we should select one of these.

What I would like to do tomorrow is look for talks 'near-the-fence' that we should be selecting. However, to accept a talk, we need to bounce one off the fence. Also, we should try and bounce one from the same track (at least we should try to hit our target). Here is the breakdown of talks per track (this includes accept + on the fence in each track).

Category: Accepted / Target
e4 / RCP: 15 / 15
RT: 12 / 10
Java: 10 / 10
C / C++: 6 / 5
JS: 12 / 10
Modeling: 15 / 15
Lifecycle: 14 / 15
Other: 14 / 13

Here is a link [1] to all the on-the-fence + near-the-fence talks. Look for ones near that fence that you think we should include (and which talks we should bounce). Also, here are a few questions to consider.
  1. We need to include 1 BIRT talk. None of them are voted very high. Look at [2,3] and see which one you would prefer
  2. We have 14 tutorials marked as 'Accepted' or 'on-the-fence'. It's not the 14 most voted for talks, but I think it's a good selection. Look at the tutorials and see what you think [4].
