Sorry I thought I wrote Monday but I didn't. Yes I meant Monday August 27th. 11:30ET sounds like a good candidate so far but we'll wait to hear from others.

John,

I am assuming you mean next Monday at 11amET?  This time works for me and also starting at 11:30ET works for me.

Tuesday will also work at the same times.

Hello everyone,

Thank you all for joining the EclipseCon 2013 Program Committee! The PC is made up of:

John Arthorne (program committee chair)

Doug Schaefer (past chair)

Cedric Brun

Gunnar Wagenknecht

Ian Bull

Kevin Sawicki

Lars Vogel

Sven Efftinge

Anne Jacko (operations chair)

Ian Skerrett (conference chair)

I think we have a great group, with an even mix of new and returning PC members, and good coverage of the diverse areas under the Eclipse umbrella. You should be receiving login details shortly from Anne Jacko for the conference wiki. Once you do, you can see the current PC wiki page here:

I would like to kick things off with a conference call early next week. We have 9 hours of time zones between PC members so I think the best time would be mid-morning EDT. How does 11am EDT (5pm CET) work for everyone? If not, does the same time slot on Tuesday work? In the call we can figure out if there is a better time slot for the remaining meetings. I expect two meetings in September and two in October.

The first order of business will be deciding on the information needed for the call for papers. In particular, we need to know the talk formats/lengths, and the names of the tracks (e.g., modeling/mobile/tools/etc). Give some thought before the call on what length of talks and tutorials you would like to see. The track names I think are a bit less important from our perspective, but are useful in marketing the conference and ensuring we have a good balance of content. I would like to ask Ian Skerrett to throw out a strawman proposal for tracks and then we can discuss in the call.

John
