Re: [eclipsecon-na-program-committee] Finished voting

Hi all -- The system doesn't exactly lack the speaker info. The system uses the "human name" associated with a Bugzilla account to display the speaker name on the "public" Submissions page -- http://www.eclipsecon.org/2012/program/sessions/proposed
Some people set up their accounts without this field set. When I see these, I notify the speakers and ask them to add the name. FYI there's a note in the Submission FAQs about this, but most submitters don't ready the FAQs: http://www.eclipsecon.org/2012/eclipsecon-2012-submission-faqs#name

In the Program Committee Shortcuts --> Administer Sessions page
you can see the email address for each speaker, so if you view the talks this way you will always be able to see who the speaker is.

Too bad the submission lacks the speaker info. A bug in the system?

As Andrew already pointed out the speaker is Sang Shin (see the attached slides), who seems to be an independent trainer and Java evangelist :

JRebel is indeed a great technology. It won several important awards and they have support for Eclipse Plug-in Development as well.
Given Andrew's comments I'd suggest to rethink the votes.

I wonder why this talk has been voted down:

It looks good to me.

I voted '2' because I'm afraid that this is promotion of non-Eclipse
commercial tooling. As great as the technology is, I'd rather like to
see the slots given to talks that are somehow connected to Eclipse
technology (with the exception of one or two pure Java 7 talks).
