Hi folks,

I have a conflict for the meeting tomorrow - I should be able to join, but I am very likely going to be late. If I can't make it, can someone kindly take some notes and publish them on the wiki[0]

As for an agenda:

Top of the list is PGP:

- Wayne volunteered at the last meeting[1] to have a go at a digestible document for consumption by the IDE WG Steering Committee to help unlock. Not sure if there is anything else to discuss on this yet.
- Eclipse Platform *may* not be contributing to 2022-03 if the Eclipse project needs to update a third-party dependency in this release cycle. This is something that Alexander mentioned[2] that he planned to bring up at this meeting.

^^ is just one option out of 4 which I listed as possible. I'm adding all of them here for clarity as I'm not sure many will read the email fully:
* Simrel accepts PGP signatures
* Simrel stays with old Platform that doesn't contain third party PGP signed dependencies
* Someone steps up to do all the needed work in the old way
* Someone points how a real exploit with PGP signing but can't happen with jarsigning

Until the Planning council holds an official vote on the topic none of us should point one or the other option out making it look as the most likely one that way.

- UI of PGP (See email from Ed quoted below). BTW I am not sure this is a topic for the Planning Council - but a lot of the same people are at this meeting. It seems this discussion belongs in the Equinox/p2 team, so I don't want to step on any toes.

I'll invite Mickael to the call as the main developer. While I agree it's not Planning Council topic (much like Planning Council doesn't discuss how systemtap kernel module is injected ) it's a good opportunity to come to an agreement that requests can come only with assigning people to work on them otherwise we are just losing each other time with pointless discussions.

Other items
- Status of Top 3 - I have requested that the approved minutes referred to at the last planning meeting[1] are published to [3], hopefully they will be before our meeting.
- 2022-03 Status
- Membership in the Planning Council review and update

See you tomorrow (Wednesday) at 10:30am Ottawa time. Next meeting is February 2nd.

Jonah

Hi,

I would like to suggest that we add to tomorrow's agenda the topic of how to improve the presentation of PGPPublicKeys to users:

Thanks,
