since I can't promise to make the call (can't reach the asterisk server from home right now and might have to pick up my daughter around the time of the call) I'd leave my 2 cents:
Since SR2 is important but probably not mission critical for adaptors I think that we can afford a delay without bad consequences. Delivering something which could harm users data is a lot worse.
>From our perspective having a full respin seems the best way. It would require some work from everyone (especially from you and Markus) but I don't consider the 2 weeks delay that bad (There is always a first time for everything, even a late Eclipse release ;-) ).
Doing a "composite" looks like the next best solution with a lot less work.
All other options listed in the Wiki will also force a delayed release and don't really fix the problem or look risky.
