I have <site mirrorsURL="http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/modeling/emf/updates/site.xml&format=xml";>
in my site.xml [1] for EMF and we have no stats. Having added the full
URLs in the <feature/> tags, we have stats again [2].

[1] http://eclipse.org/modeling/emf/updates/site.xml,
http://eclipse.org/modeling/emf/updates/site-interim.xml
[2] http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/downloads/stats.php

But that's only up to yesterday before the download stats sdatabase
was turned off. ;-)

So, I'm not convinced that the <site/> tag is sufficient to collect stats.
