RE: [eclipse.org-planning-council] Minutes fromFriday'sCallistocall have been posted (FYI)

Feedback is here:  Wind River’s board member (Tomas Evensen) doesn’t have a problem with this.

Well, I guess I heard correctly.  I suppose I want something more, but I’ll go with the group.

Feedback from my board member is forthcoming.

No funding involved. The Callisto team had the idea of providing an installer for Callisto - a small webstart or RCP app that installs the basic platform and then opens the update manager pointing to the Callisto update site. This (providing an installer) would be a change from our current distribution mechanism (zips and update jars) and we want to make sure that the Board of Directors is on-board with the idea.

We are not talking about competing with Yoxos or any other existing solve-the-big-problem distribution mechanism.
I have updated the minutes with David's explanation:

Bjorn, can you explain again why we need to talk to our respective Board members?  I’m assuming it relates to funding an initiative.  What exactly do we want to fund?
