Foundation Updates

JavaOne
Lynn discussed various programs to generate
buzz at JavaOne for Eclipse and as well as the foundation’s members. There
will also be a special Eclipse party at the Thirsty Bear. If you have any
ideas to generate buzz at JavaOne, email lynn@xxxxxxxxxxx
.  Some ideas include: 

·        An
amped up booth crawl, with hour by hour winners, who are announced at member
company booth, with puzzle pieces
·        A
theme of a rainforest to conjure up the whole ecosystem and self selection
think of Eclipse
·        Eclipse
tattoos handed out at the Eclipse booth


Branding for the Foundation
·        Out
of EclipseCon’s marketing meeting, there were some action items for the
marketing committee to follow up with. Of priority is branding for the
foundation as a whole. Some ideas were discussed. If you have ideas regarding
branding programs, please email them to Karen Frederiksen at kfrederi@xxxxxxxxxx
. Karen will be organizing comments and address these branding ideas during
the next marketing call.

Change in Marketing Meeting Frequency
·        It
is important to note that the marketing meeting will now be held every
other week. The next meeting is April 3rd.
