Ok, I think a spot a flaw in my suggestion.  It's a 4 hour slot on Monday
that I'd want to swap with a 3 hour slot on Thursday, and although it'd add
5h of tutorial time, it'd drop 5h of session time, which should not be
considered.

Consider my ranting summarily withdrawn :)

How do we get an extra thread?  I'm proposing we take a chunk of schedule
from Thursday and swap it wholesale with a chunk of schedule on Monday.  

Where do we gain or lose a thread?

I don't think it does. In fact I think that having talk slots over more days
actually reduces the incidence of parallel talk issues. It's like having an
extra thread to do processing.

I'm disregarding the board meeting as a parallelization issue, and I'm
considering the parallel operation of the member's meeting to be something
that will not effect people unduly.
