The eclipse-dev mailing-list if for discussion about the development of the Eclipse project (which is Eclipse Platform + Eclipse Java Development Tools + Eclipse Plugin Development). *-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx mailing-list are usually not suitable for user support.

There are other individual mailing-lists for development the subparts of the Eclipse project: platform-dev@ , jdt-dev@ and pde-dev@ .

However, please note that most focused development discussions usually happens under GitHub issues or GitHub pull requests, or even GitHub discussions directly on the related GitHub repositories. Some user support may happen also on GitHub discussions.

So in the end, these days, this eclipse-dev mailing-list is more used for organizational discussions about the project development (bigger term plans, project structure, work organization...).
