[eclipse-dev] FYI: API Change Approval Process

The PMC will handle API change requests that are sent to the eclipse-pmc mailing list in the following way:

If a PMC member has concerns, he has to send those to the list within 3 days. The request will then be discussed in the next PMC call. After three days any PMC member can approve.

Subject:        Heads-Up: API Changes After M6

Neon (4.6) M6 was our API freeze. No API changes (including additions) are expected after the API freeze. Any exception must be approved by the Eclipse PMC. No changes are to be released without prior approval and associated bug report. The request for approval must be sent to the eclipse-pmc mailing list, explaining why an exception is justified.

Thanks,
Dani
