Re: [eclipse-dev] How to share Eclipse Preferences?

Tobi,

export and then import all preferences honors the 'Insert spaces for
tabs'. If that's not the case for you then please file a bug with steps to
reproduce the problem. If you're looking for a way to only export the Text
Editor preferences then this is something which is currently not possible.

Please note that this list is for those developing Eclipse. Please use the
newsgroups to ask further questions.

Thanks,
Dani

[eclipse-dev] How to share Eclipse Preferences?

Hi all,

in Eclipse you can export/import the configuration for example the Java
code formatter (Java > Code Style > Formatter) without problems. That's
perfect to share the configuration in a development team.

But how can you export/import other configurations under "General >
Editors > Text Editors" like "Insert spaces for tabs", etc.?

I found nothing helpful under http://help.eclipse.org/ and "File > Import
> ... > Preferences" doesn't help.
