[eclipse-dev] Fw: [platform-releng-dev] change in nightly build time

Just a FYI, nightly builds will now
start at 1am to avoid the peak server activity time at eclipse.org.  Please
be aware of this when committing those late night changes...

Will that also affect the time
that CVS commits take effect (i.e., changes going in at 12:30am EST will
now make it into the build)?
 
If so, it might be good to broadcast
this on eclipse-dev as well, to make sure nobody inadvertently breaks the
build by checking in a partial change at a time they thought was safe.

I found out today that  the eclipse.org servers are extremely busy
between 12 and 12:45am EST with server maintenance and have nfs timeouts.
I'm speculating that this has been the cause of our recent build failures.
  The webmaster doesn't recommend running builds at this time.  I'm
going to temporarily move the nightly builds to start at 1am.  I hope
this will allow us to have successful builds.
